Rhutilated Horse

Rhutilated Horse, is a mourning brooch. As an object it incorporates hair as a part of the memorial process. The "stone" in the brooch is cast resin that contains mane clippings from my oldest equine companion, a horse that I had know for literally all of my life. I created this brooch as a way to process my own grief after her passing after well over 21 years of faithful companionship and many wild rides through the country side.
